The NEW Survivor Series

THE NEXT SURVIVOR SERIES

Six married men will be dropped on an island with one car and 3 kids each for six weeks.

Each kid will play two sports and either take music or dance classes.

There is no fast food.

Each man must take care of his 3 kids, keep his assigned house clean, correct all homework, complete science projects, cook, do laundry, and pay a list of 'pretend' bills without enough money.

In addition, each man will have to budget in money for groceries each week.

Each man must remember the birthdays of all their friends and relatives, and send cards out on time--no emailing.

Each man must also take each child to a doctor's appointment, a dentist appointment, and a haircut appointment. He must make one unscheduled and inconvenient visit per child to the Urgent Care.

He must also make cookies or cupcakes for a social function.

Each man will be responsible for decorating his own assigned house, planting flowers outside
and keeping it presentable at all times.

The men will only have access to television when the kids are asleep and all chores are done.

The men must shave their legs, wear makeup daily, adorn himself with jewelry, wear uncomfortable yet stylish shoes, keep fingernails polished, and eyebrows groomed.

During one of the six weeks, the men will have to endure severe abdominal cramps, back aches, and extreme, unexplained mood swings, but never once complain or slow down from their other duties.

They must attend weekly school meetings, church, and find time at least once to spend the afternoon at the park or a similar setting.

They will need to read a book to the kids each night and in the morning, feed them, dress them, brush their teeth and comb their hair by 7:00 am.

A test will be given at the end of the six weeks and each father will be required to know the following information:
each child's birthday,
height, weight,
shoe size, clothes size
and doctor's name.
Also the child's weight at birth,
length, time of birth,
and length of labor;
each child's favorite color,
middle name,
favorite snack,
favorite song,
favorite drink,
favorite toy,
biggest fear, and
what they want
to be when they grow up.

The kids vote them off the island based on performance. The last man wins only if...he still has enough energy to be intimate with his spouse at a moment's notice.

If the last man does win, he can play the game over and over and over again for the next 18-25 years eventually earning the right to be called Mother!

Dear Addison...

Little girl...you have a very big job ahead of you! You are the lead cousin of the second string. It's unfortunate that David & Chris are more considered the first string, given they grew up with the first string and are indeed older than Paul, Allie & Ted.

It's a big job, but guess what? It's awesome! You are like the Dayna, which means you get to call the shots & keep them all in line at family functions. Right now under your reign you have Bubbers, Kaitlyn & Emily. You also have a cocooning soon to be in Katie's tummy.

Enjoy the limelight, Addison! You are Queen of Second String!!! I will have to make you a shirt.

THE STRAYER FAMILY RULES!!

God bless all the babies, the kids, and the grown ups. We're a patchwork quilt of personalities with the strongest common thread you could ever imagine. I love us.

Welcome to our beautiful twins

Our newest family members have arrived and they are so precious!!!!!!! Cliff & I can’t wait to get down there!!!!

Katelyn Grace or Kaitlin Grace (not sure hew they are spelling her name yet) was born at 5:48 am on March 18, 2009. She weighed 5 lbs. 2oz. and was 18” long.
Emily Morgan was born at 5:59 am on March 18, 2009. She weighed 4 lbs. 2oz and was 17½” long.
They are both so beautiful and have long brown hair just like Debbie did when she was born.

I will attempt to upload the first pictures I have of them. Emily is in the forefront and Katelyn is in the back. You can zoom in on each of the babies to get a good look.

We love you Debbie & Keith!!!!!!!

New Portraits!!

Prince Stephen got his portrait taken again!!! Here's a couple of the poses.

BABY TEETH!!! He only has three so far, all on the bottom! Chompers.

Smartest 8 month old ever - he can even spell his name! Take note, Aunt Mare, on HOW TO SPELL IT. (Aunt Mare still, STILL spells my name wrong after almost 33 years).
I think we can all agree that Bubbers is the current baby hottness until those two precious girls pop outta Debbie soon!!!!

The Shirt that Screams!

Well,

Valerie left the shirt here so I took a picture of it for everyone to see. Let me know what you think.

Definition of "LOVE"

Ok - so today I stopped at Old Navy to try and find a new hoodie, as all mine are ratty, old & awesome for the weekend, but kind of nasty to wear to casual days at work. I didn't find anything I liked for me, but as a good Auntie I ventured into the baby section.

I found a couple little things for Bubbers on sale, and then I saw the "new spring line" section for little dudes. I saw this adorable shirt - a cute little plaid short sleeve button down...the kind Stevie wears in the summers. So even though this shirt would only be fitting him for a few weeks, I felt that Bubbers was worth the "full price item".

I stopped at the White House on my way home to give my presents to the little man (who was sleeping, of course, since he knew I was coming). When I whipped out the button down, big smile on my face, Stevie & Katie say in unison - "That is so ugly." Stevie said it basically screams "I'm gay and coming out of the closet" for a baby boy.

Now - if that comfort level to announce brutal honesty between siblings & sibling-in-laws is NOT love...then I don't know what is.

I love my family!!!!
