I am 27 weeks (6 months 3 weeks). Only 3 more months and Baby Brown will be here!

Jenn's Baby Shower

We had a lots of fun at Jenn's baby shower and baby Brown made out pretty good! But believe it or not I barely have any pictures. I thought I was taking pictures with Angela's camera, but obviously I don't know how to use it because there's no pictures there! There was someone taking pictures. I remember the camera was black but can't remember who the person taking the pictures was! Anyway, I got a few that I'll share. We had about 25 adults, not counting the guys that stayed and watched a game on the TV in the office, and about 12 kids (6 of them 7 months or younger!)

The theme of the shower was a jungle theme, which is the same theme of baby Brown's bedroom. The shower cake was made by Angela, with lots of help from her mentor Jenn......yes, she helped make her own cake but she wouldn't have it any other way!!! The did a fantastic job....




This was a diaper cake that we made out of cloth diapers. I thought it turned out pretty good if I don't say so myself! Baby brown will have lots of burp cloths!!

Going to Slovakia

From Oct. 28th to Nov. 2nd, 2009, I will be in Nitra, Slovakia at the invitation of the FDNSC Cana Group to facilitate their meeting around some of the themes given at our Program for Leaders and Formators in South Africa and in the Philippines held this past year. Fifteen “young sisters” from or missioned in Europe will be attending. It will be hosted at the Dom Srdca Jezišovho Retreat Center by our Kiribati Sisters Rotee and Borawa of the Retreat Center staff. We are looking forward to a great welcome in Kiribati-Slovakian style. This will be my first time venturing that far east into Europe. I'm really looking forward to going, though this week they have already had snow. On the way to Nitra, I'll be staying with our Sisters in Crépy (near Paris) and I'll travel together with a sister from there who is also attending. After the meeting in Nitra I will return to France and hope to have 2 WEEKS VACATION. Fr. Joannès is going to the "hot springs" near Lyon for rheumatism therapy (paid for by the terrific French Health Insurance System), and Gerardine and myself are going to accompany him! We'll all stay in a house by ourselves on the grounds of the hot springs.

Mike thinks Baby Brown looks just like him but he definetly has my nose!
