This is the video I reference in my other post. It's just insane that people can do this.

My Guitar Hero

Hopefully you know the game "Guitar Hero". If you don't - you will not enjoy this post.

Brianna is my Guitar Hero. You seriously, seriously need to see her shred. It's unfathomable. I mean, considering how fast her brain processes what she sees and translates it to her hands is AMAZING. It scares me. I think she's capable of....anything.

This is her just chillaxin, playing on EXPERT. If you have never seen someone play guitar hero, I'm totally including a You Tube video of one of the hardest songs on expert. That's pretty much like watching Brianna play.

I just tried to add the video from You Tube. I can't tell if it will show up eventually or not. Oh well?

Angela's Deep Sea Fishing Trip

Well we finally made it! For Angela's 25th birthday Dave and I were treating her to a deep sea fishing trip. We wanted to make it a weekend trip and had a hard time finding the right weekend. Either Ange was working, we had other plans, Mike and Jenn had other plans or it was Bike Week! So last weekend was the weekend. Mike and Jonas didn't get to go but we had a good time anyway. We got to the Daytona Hilton Saturday afternoon. Even though I let them know that we'd be checking in early (around noon) our room wasn't ready until 4pm. That put a little damper on things as we couldn't change to go to the pool or beach. But we hung around the hotel, sat by the pool and walked the poor excuse of a "boardwalk" that Daytona claims to have. It was pretty pitiful! But dinner was good (Outback) and we learned to play Bunco that night. On Saturday morning Dave, Jenn and Angela headed for the fishing boat. Addison and me slept in! I actually had to wake her up about 9:45 so we didn't miss breakfast. They only served breakfast until 11am. After breakfast Addison enjoyed a little trip to to pool. She only got her feet wet because I wasn't going in because the water was WAY to cold. But she looked great in her new bathing suit! Jenn, Ange and Dave had a great time on the boat. Jenn was a little upset about the shark brains splattering on her new Victoria Secret top; but she survived it. She caught an 18 1/2 inch Red Snapper but it had to be 20 inches to keep. Ange caught two and Dave's got away. All in all it was alot of fun. In May they have Shark fishing at night. That should be interesting.......

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?

I never noticed this....
The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which was placed over
the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes.
The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded,
and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Early Sunday morning,
while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that
the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, "They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!" Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side. Is that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes! In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now if the master was done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table.. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, "I'm done". But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because.......... The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"

He is Coming Back!

Pennsylvania

Ok - I am tired of the cold rain. We have another weekend of it. I can't wait for spring and hope it is a nice one. I am ready for the leaves back on the trees. At least it could do is snow. At least it is prettier.

Well nothing much going on around here. Stevie is working double time on his second floor getting ready for the little buck a roo. Little Q was over helping last weekend and put his leg through their ceiling (fell off the beam). He didn't get hurt but now we call him grizz (Christmas Vacation - if you haven't seen it you should).

I have given in to Brianna's plea for getting a puppy. I know I am crazy but she has been begging for 3 years now and I think she is ready to take it on. I think we have settled on a Siberian Husky. She cannot get it until school is out so that she can be home with it and start the training process immediately. Buster should be fine with it as he is very gentle with every puppy that has come to visit. Hopefully the dog will have busters disposition and be the second most lazy dog in the world.

Well that's all I got. Take care and post everyone.

A Funny Story

Well.....I figured I'd share a funny story that Angela reminded us of the other day. Two years ago (or about that), the six of us went to Colorado. Yes, this would be the same trip where Jenn took her nose dive into the the snow bank! We had been skiing all day and were really tired by the time we got back to the house that we had rented. We figured we'd order pizza rather than making anything for dinner. It was 5 minutes before 9pm and we called the local pizza place. It was advertized as the "Nick and Willy's World Famous Pizza". Odd name we thought but okay. When we called to order two large pizzas, they said, well....we close in 5 minutes but if you can make it quick we'll wait for you. So, Dave and Angela took off down the moutain to pick up the pizza. Angela waited in the car while Dave went inside. They asked if he was there to pick up the two large pizza's and when he said yes they proceeded to open the freezer door. Dave thought that was odd but when they actually handed him two frozen pizzas he was flabergasted!!!! He said "are you serious?" They didn't understand the problem and went on to say we also qualified for free dessert. So off they went again to the freezer and pulled out frozen cinnamon dough. Well, he knew we were hungry and there wasn't anywhere else to go, so he paid the bill and went to the car. He handed the pizzas to Angela who expected to feel the heat of the pizza on her lap. When she got that puzzled look on her face, Dave went on to share the story of what happened inside the pizza place. By the time they got back up the mountain and into the house, Angela could hardly stand up straight from laughing so hard. All she could say was "we need to pre-heat up the oven." Then they proceeded to show us our pizza. We'll we laughed for a long time and had to take a picture of the "World Famous TAKE AND BAKE Pizza" After all the trouble, the pizza and dessert did taste good. But what a laugh....And Angela is still laughing.

Hello from Florida

Hi there everyone! Wow....it's been two weeks and nobody is blogging? Is it too cold for everyone?? It's pretty nice in Florida today. It's mid 70's and sunny. It's a good start for Bike Week coming up this week. I'm thrilled that Cliff is going to make it to Bike Week and better yet that he's going to get to come by Orlando and visit first. Kathy - we wish you were coming too!!

There's not a whole lot happening right now. We were suppose to go Deep Sea Fishing today but Angela and Jonas had to go a a funeral. And since this was for Angela's birthday (late present!) we had to cancel for a few weeks. But I'll be sure to post pics when we get back. Me and Addison plan to stay on the beach and at the hotel pool for the afternoon. I did buy her a bathing suit and sunglasses today so she'll be ready for the trip.

Mike and Jenn are doing great. They're still playing with their fish tank, which is looking beautiful, and I hear that Mike's wanting an even bigger tank. Unbelievable!

Well that's it for now.

Valerie - I'm ready for some new Pics from the past.......

Take care everyone and we love you!
